Cottage Bread Sticks
  • 1 8 oz pkg. cream cheese
  • 2 c. large cottage cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. anchovy paste
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon-style mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped chives
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. finely chopped capers
  • 1 Tbsp. crushed caraway seed
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 12 soft bread sticks, split horizontally, remove soft inside
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • caraway seed

 

Combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, anchovy paste, and mustard in bowl using electric mixer. Stir in chives, parsley, capers, caraway seed, paprika, salt and pepper. Generously spread filling inside each bread stick. Place bread sticks on baking sheet. Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with caraway seed. Bake at 400°F for 7 minutes. Serve piping hot. Makes 12 servings or approximately 3 1/2 cups filling.
