Cheese Scones
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp. milk

 

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda, stir in cheese. In another bowl, combine egg, sour cream, oil, and milk; stir in to dry ingredients just until moistened. Drop by tablespoon onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 425°for 15-20 minutes. Serve warm and spread butter on top. Hint : you can use any kind of cheese and you can add a little garlic if you wish. These Cheese Scones taste like the dinner rolls that are served at Red Lobster.
